Together with Andreas D. Haraldsrud, I'm writing the book in Norwegian, for teachers. It draws on cognitive learning psychology and shows what generative AI actually changes in the classroom.
I'm a senior lecturer at the University of Oslo's Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences. There, I research the use of AI in education, with a particular focus on science and mathematics teaching.

I'm a physicist based in Stockholm, currently working as a senior lecturer at the University of Oslo's Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences. In my PhD, I studied phase-field modeling of crystal deformation and microplasticity: how grain boundaries move, and what that means for how a material yields.
Now I research how teachers and students use AI in the classroom, with a particular focus on science and mathematics.
Alongside research and teaching, I work in science communication: I co-host the podcast Under Kappa, appear regularly on NRK's Abels tårn, and give talks on AI and learning.
I started out as a physics and maths teacher in Oslo through the Teach First Norway leadership programme, before returning to research for a PhD in condensed matter physics. In 2025 I received the Norwegian Physical Society's outreach prize for Under Kappa.
